Claris Works File
Appleworks refers to two different software products. The first was created by Apple, for the Apple II computer in 1984, but is no longer supported. The second version of Appleworks refers to the Apple Macintosh/Microsoft Windows software package that was released due to Apple's acquisition of the "ClarisWorks" software suite.
The original Appleworks was an integrated software package that consisted of a word processor, spreadsheet and database. The modern Appleworks consists of a word processor, spreadsheet, database program, drawing program, painting program and a terminal program to deal with communications.
However, with the release of the latest version, the terminal program has been replaced by a presentation package.

I own a Imac G5 computer that I bought in 2005. I'm seeking employment at the moment and I'm just finished writing my resume. I used the Mac version of Word and I saved the resume to my hard drive. I then place the document in a folder to be attached to my e mail and sent to an employer. Before I sent the resume to my employer I sent the resume to my alternate e mail, just to see how it would appear. When I opened it, my resume wasn't formatted the way I created it. All I saw was each line I wrote including my name in address in a form of lines like sentences lined from the top of the page to the bottom. Is this normal, does the employer have a way to reformat it? Can someone help me?
