Files with the extension .HST are history files created and used by 'Yahoo messenger'. .HST files are created by Yahoo messenger to store chat-log details and also to store messages received whilst the user is offline.
Yahoo messenger .HST files will have a file name in the format of:
001053309244.HST
These offline messages are stored in the 'StoredIM' folder within the Yahoo messenger installation folder.
