.FLA File Extension

Flash Movie Source File

Developer File
The .fla file format was created by Macomedia (now Adobe) for the application Macromedia Flash.

The actual .FLA file does not play or execute, instead these files contain source material for the Flash application and once complete, are then compiled in to the .swf file format.

I just purchased a FLA file from a flash template site. I do not plan to use or purchase Adobe tools and will instead use MTASC. I need to dump the contents of this FLA file so I can complile the AS, FLV and images files into my own SWF. The true "source" files are in the FLA file.
