.EEP File Extension

EEPROM Data File

Data File
Files with an .eep file extension are used for loading data into EEPROM in microprocessors or micro-controllers that have such memory, and use standard hex file format.

The file extension is used to distinguish the EEPROM from FLASH memory.

Used mainly (if not exclusively) with Atmel AVR micro-controllers.
